Maranatha improved to 2-0 in Olympic League play thanks to Tuesday’s 8-2 victory over Village Christian.
Jackson Hisey went the distance to earn the win.
Hisey allowed a pair of unearned runs on two hits.
He walked one and fanned 11 VCHS batters.
Of his 93 pitches, Hisey threw 63 strikes.
Joshua Popjes singled and scored for the Crusaders.
Maranatha got four runs off both Sean Cabrera (six hits & four walks) and Winston Peterson (two hits & four walks).
Hudson Story walked, singled, tripled and scored twice.
Eric Zdunek singled, doubled and drove in a run.
Bryan Richman singled, had one RBI and scored two runs.
Dylan Zdunek went 2-for-3 with a run and two RBIs.
