Girls Volleyball:
Glendora opened the CIF-SS Division 3 playoffs in dominant fashion.
The Tartans swept visiting Arcadia by scores of 25-15, 25-15 and 26-24.
Hailey Heflin led the way with 15 kills and three blocks.
Gianna Perez added nine kills and 10 digs.
Kendra Gonzalez chipped in with five kills and 11 digs.
And Ella Dunaway contributed five kills in the win.
Chayse Hoon led AHS with seven kills.
Ashley Savage and Abigail Yeog had five kills apiece for the Apaches.
Nicole Zhen chipped in with eight digs, and Cindy Lu had nine digs.
Up next: The Tartans travel to Lakewood on Saturday night at 5 to take on St. Joseph.
The Jesters (18-11) advanced after a five-set victory at Redlands.
