Abigail Garibay had seven kills, nine digs, two aces and a block.

Paloma Vanegas contributed two kills, five aces, six digs and a block.

Isabella Vanegas chipped in with five aces, eight digs and a pair of aces.

Quotable:

Marshall Fundamental coach, Jeffrey Thai: “Ever since our transfers, Isabella and Paloma Vanegas, joined our program, we knew they were very special. They made our program go from good to very good. Although they don’t get used as often as the starters, they always inject extra life for us when they are in. Today was no different. I played them in different positions than they are used to, and they flourished. Our defense was on point today as they refused to give up points to Rosemead off of their hits. This was a good game for us to use to prepare for playoffs Today, we were without our stats leader, Alexis Delgado, but the team pulled together and played well on the defensive side of the ball and gave up very few points on attacks. Paloma and Isabella Vanegas came off the bench and really helped the team. Both players had five aces apiece, but more importantly, passed very well for us. Rory Lorenz had a huge block in the last set that got everyone out of their seats.”

Up next: The Eagles close out their regular season schedule on Wednesday, as Marshall hosts South El Monte.

Records: Rosemead (2-12, 2-5); Marshall Fundamental (19-8, 9-2)
