Girls Volleyball:

Since dropping the 2022 season opener, Arcadia has now won nine consecutive matches.

And that includes a 4-0 run in Pacific League action.

On Tuesday, the Lady Apaches defeated visiting Pasadena in four sets.

AHS won by scores of 25-9, 25-27, 25-18 and 25-8.

Chayse Hoon had a match-high 17 kills.

Ashley Savage chipped in with eight kills and Megumi Green provided 18 digs and four aces.

Zimming Wang had six kills and six aces, and Dahlia Johnson contributed six aces.

Abigail Yeoh finished with seven kills in Tuesday’s win.

Quotable:

Arcadia coach, Stephen Bernabe: “As a coach, I am happy that we won, but the sloppy play is not ok. Mentality is everything, and I want my girls to understand that we cannot take plays off if we truly want to contend for a league title. This experience is a part of learning how to win correctly, so we will grow and improve from this. We look forward to our game on Thursday and the tournament this weekend.”

Up next: AHS will travel to Glendale on Thursday at 3:30.

Records: Pasadena (7-6, 1-2); Arcadia (9-1, 4-0)
