Alverno Heights Academy needed and got a win in the last game of the regular season to earn a share of the Horizon League championship.
The Jaguars claimed a 9-2 victory at Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Trinity Godson went the distance to earn the win.
Godson allowed two runs on seven hits.
She walked five and fanned five Sacred Heart batters.
Offensively, Alyssa Marquez went 4-for-4, with two doubles, three RBIs and scored a run.
Madelynn Dela Rosa singled twice, doubled and scored three runs.
Godson helped her own cause by hitting a solo home run.
Destinee Kaya singled twice and scored.
Andrea Mercado doubled, scored and had an RBI.
Alyssa Pineda singled in a pair of runs.
Bella Larson and Bryanna Marquez singled, scored and had one RBI apiece.
Up next: The Jaguars will wait until Saturday to get their first-round opponent for the CIF-SS playoffs.
