Pasadena Hammers Muir, 17-2, in Thursday’s Pacific League Contest; With Two Games Left, Bulldogs Tied for Third Place w/Burroughs

Softball:

Pasadena didn’t waste any time in asserting their dominance over rival Muir.

The Bulldogs got six first-inning runs and scored 10 more in the second to pull away from the Mustangs, 17-2, in five innings.

Jazmin Jaquez went all five innings, allowing one earned run on five hits.

Jaquez walked two and fanned four Muir batters.

At the plate, Jaquez doubled, scored two runs and had an RBI.

Darla Burnett singled twice, drove in a run and scored twice.

Alyssa Perez singled, scored three runs and had two RBIs.

Maddie Fraer only had one official at-bat, but she found a way to score three runs and collect an RBI.

PHS took advantage of eight walks and were hit-by-pitch seven times.

With two to play, Pasadena is tied for third place in the Pacific League standings with Burroughs.
