Softball:

Bonita secured at least a share of the Palomares League title on Tuesday.

The Bearcats claimed a 4-0 victory at Glendora.

With two league games to go, Bonita holds a two-game lead over second-place Ayala.

All the Bearcats need is a Thursday victory over last-place Colony or a win at fifth-place Alta Loma next Tuesday.

Brooklyn Shroyer threw a three-hit shutout.

Shroyer didn’t issue a walk and fanned six GHS batters.

Annie Winovitch, Bridget Nemeth and Haley Ganino had one single apiece to account for the Tartans offense.

Bridget Nemeth was stuck with the loss.

Nemeth surrendered four runs on four hits over her five-inning outing.

She walked one and struck out six Bonita batters.

Ashley Hibbard provided two perfect innings of relief, including two strikeouts for GHS.

Kali Blount hit a three-run HR in the top of the third inning.

Bryce Shroyer singled and doubled and Mireya Rico doubled in Tuesday’s win.

Lauren Ureno walked and scored, and Alyssa Doucette scored once.
