Rio Hondo Prep Cruises to 16-0 Victory Over Poly; Tatiana Foor Hits Grand Slam & Teams w/Elle Curtis on Five Inning No-Hitter

In a battle of programs going in diametrically opposite directions, first-place Rio Hondo Prep dismantled last-place Poly, 16-0, on Friday.

The win allows the Kares to hold its one-game lead over second-place Providence.

RHP has won nine consecutive games, while the Panthers have dropped eight straight.

Tatiana Foor and Elle Curtis combined on a five-inning no-hitter.

Foor went 3 1/3 innings, walked two and fanned seven, while Curtis got the final five outs, didn’t issue a walk and struck out three.

Chize Obgugo has seen better days.

Obgugo allowed 16 runs (nine earned) on eight hits.

She went three innings, walked 10 and fanned a pair of RHP batters.

Foor walked three times, hit a grand slam, scored twice and finished with four RBIs.

Grace Pollock singled, doubled, drove in three runs and scored three times.

Curtis walked twice, singled, scored and had one RBI.

Raegan Johnson walked, doubled, scored twice and drove in a pair of runs.

Sydney Diaz doubled in two runs.

Emma Carson walked once and scored three runs.

Maddie Glatt walked twice and scored a pair of runs.

Kassie Kirby walked twice and scored, and Raychel Chang walked and scored.
