After claiming a 2-1 Baseline League series victory over Damien last week, Etiwanda opened league series No. 2 with a bang.
The Eagles thumped Los Osos, 14-0.
Ayden Holker got the loss, allowing five runs (three earned) on three hits over his four innings.
He walked five and fanned seven.
The Grizzlies’ defense committed four errors to none for EHS
Austen Roellig walked, singled twice, homered, scored twice and drove in two runs.
Abraham Zapata doubled and had three RBIs.
Parker Sobiesiak walked twice, singled two times, scored a pair of runs and had one RBI.
Chris Montes De Oca walked, singled, scored and drove in a run.
Eric Valles singled, scored and had one RBI.
Jaedon Toki and Mason Schultz singled and drove in one run apiece.
Jorge Solares, Yahir Ramirez and Nico Neri combined on a six-hit shutout.
Solares went 4 1/3 innings to get the win.
He allowed three hits, walked two and struck out three Grizzlies’ batters.
Noe Romero, Tyler Mohler, Greg Chodos, Enzo Comes, Dylan Mohler and Kyle Fortenberry had one single apiece to account for the Los Osos offense.
After starting the season 9-1, LOHS is 2-4 in their last six games, including a 1-3 mark in league games.
