Maranatha Pounds Heritage Christian Pitching; Minutemen Improve to 5-1 in Olympic League After 13-0 Victory in Five Innings

Maranatha did what good teams are supposed to do.

And that’s to easily defeat inferior opponents.

MHS claimed a 13-0 victory over last-place Heritage Christian in five innings.

The Minutemen remain atop the Olympic League standings by one-game and one and one-half games over Valley Christian and Village Christian, respectively.

In his first career start, Jacob Yun went three scoreless innings to get the win.

Yun allowed one hit, walked one and got all six of his outs via strikeout.

Jackson McBratney got lit up for 12 runs on eight hits and five walks over 2 2/3 innings.

Mikey Ebner singled twice, doubled, scored two runs and drove in three.

Bryan Richman walked, singled, scored and had two RBIs.

Dylan Zdunek doubled, scored a pair of runs and had one RBI.

Nick Cook singled, tripled and drove in two runs.

Cider Canon walked, tripled, scored twice and drove in a run.

Nick Sartor walked, doubled, drove in a run and scored twice.

Cam Andrews walked, singled and scored a pair of runs.

Angelo Aleman walked twice and scored both times.

Up next: MHS travels to Heritage Christian on Friday afternoon.
