PCC Finishes Week 3-0, Including an 11-6 Victory at Palomar; Blessinger, Tello, Luevano & Scannell Combine for 10 RBIs

College Baseball:

PCC spent the week outside of South Coast Conference play.

But the Lancers continued their hot play of late.

PCC has won four consecutive games and seven of their last eight.

On Tuesday and Thursday, they claimed a pair of victories over Victor Valley by a combined margin of 31-9.

And PCC finished the week with an impressive 11-6 victory at Palomar in San Marcos.

The Comets and Lancers are ranked second and eighth, respectively, in the Ratings Power Index.

Coleman Mitchell went the first four innings for PCC and allowed four runs on 10 hits.

Mitchell walked one and fanned three.

Rider Gardner got the win, after two innings of relief, and allowing one run on three hits.

Gardner walked one and struck out one Palomar batter.

Nicco Day, Hayden Zweig and Jakob Guardado each provided one inning of relief apiece to close out the Comets.

Jack Sanders walked, singled, tripled, scored two runs and drove in a pair.

Bryson Hashimoto had three singles and scored once.

Carter Hain hit a solo HR in the bottom of the second inning.

After two scoreless innings from Comets starter Dylan Delvecchio, Connor McBride surrendered three runs on six hits over his two innings of work.

McBride walked two, struck out a pair of PCC batters and was saddled with the loss.

The Lancers got four combined hits and five RBIs from the No. 1 & 2, and No. 8 & 9 spots in their lineup.

Max Blessinger singled twice, scored and drove in two runs.

Raider Tello walked, singled, doubled, scored and had three RBIs.

Toshiki Kuriya went 2-for-5, with an RBI.

Andrew Scannell had three singles and three RBIs.

Matt Delgado walked twice, singled and scored three runs.

Jack Trabbie walked twice, singled and scored twice.

Aryonis Harrison walked, singled twice and scored a pair of runs.

Isaac Luevano singled twice, drove in two and scored once.

Up next: The Lancers head to Compton on Tuesday for the first of a three-game SCC series with the Tartars.
