Marshall Fundamental Defeats Pasadena, 12-5, on Saturday; Travis Delgado Goes Distance & Strikes Out Six

Coming off Friday’s 3-0 victory over previously unbeaten (in league) Burroughs in eight innings, Pasadena was back at it on Saturday.

The Bulldogs defense committed six errors and Marshall Fundamental claimed a 12-5, nonleague victory.

Travis Delgado went the distance to earn the win.

Delgado allowed five runs (three earned) on six hits.

He walked three and struck out six.

Casey Skett hit a two-run HR in the bottom of the fourth inning for PHS.

Rene Salas and Stephen Houlemard singled and scored one run each.

Jabbari Salahuddin walked and scored, and Ben Griffith had an RBI.

Joe Bacon got the loss, allowing three unearned runs on four hits over his three innings.

Bacon walked two and fanned three Marshall batters.

Nick Chew singled, hit a three-run HR and scored three times.

Conrad Hunziker walked twice, singled and had three RBIs.

Caleb Delgado singled, scored twice and drove in a pair of runs.

Jacob Hernandez walked twice and scored two runs.

Travis Delgado walked, singled twice and scored.

Wes Pendleton scored and had two RBIs, and Andrew Quijada walked, scored and had an RBI.

Up next: Marshall will host South El Monte on Wednesday, and Pasadena will welcome last-place Hoover on Tuesday.
