Loyola Wins Second Mission League Series After 11-3 Victory Over St. Francis; DiPaolo Doubles, Homers & Drives in 4 Runs

Loyola defeated St. Francis for the second time in 24 hours.

On Tuesday, the Cubs picked up a two-run victory in the first of three with the Golden Knights.

Loyola would clinch the season series on Tuesday, thanks to an 11-3 triumph at the Glendale Sports Complex.

And there is still one game remaining this week.

Robby Rivera went two innings for the Golden Knights and allowed an unearned run on two hits.

Xander Douglas surrendered two runs on one hit and a walk in his two innings.

Kibru Pam wasn’t able to get an out and was pulled after allowing one run on one hit and three walks.

Loyola got to Tate Kim for four runs on three hits

And Joe Krasnowski was touched up for two runs on one hit and two walks in his two innings of work.

Luca DiPaolo walked twice, doubled, homered and drove in four runs.

Adam Magpoc walked twice, singled and scored three runs from the leadoff spot.

Tino Valdez picked up two walks of his own, tripled, scored and drove in two runs.

Colin Devereux singled, doubled, drove in one run and scored.

Alex Orman walked, doubled, scored twice and had one RBI.

Riley Russell picked up the win after going five innings and allowing two runs on seven hits.

Russell walked three and fanned three SFHS batters.

Aaron Petersen singled, tripled and scored for the Golden Knights.

Jordan Lewallen walked, doubled and drove in a run.

Holden Deitch walked, singled and scored.

Quinn Deitch walked, singled and had an RBI.

Kibru Pam singled and scored, and Luke Fogarty singled and drove in a run.

Up next: The Golden Knights will attempt to avoid a three-game sweep when they travel to Loyola on Friday.
