Boys Basketball:
Glendora won its 12th consecutive game on Friday.
The Tartans outlasted Central of Fresno, 61-55, in the Iron Division quarterfinal at the Damien Classic.
GHS had a 34-24 lead at the break and CEHS closed the gap in the second half.
Max Hilgenfeldt scored 18 points, including 4-of-6 from 3-point land.
Colton Gray also had 18 to go with seven rebounds, four assists and four steals.
CJ Murray finished with nine points, including four crucial free throws in the final minute of the game.
Sebastian Demano provided eight points and four assists.
Gerald Perry had a game-high 20 points for Central.
Sier Harbin scored 17 points in the loss.
Up next: GHS will face off with Alameda on Saturday evening at 5 at Ramona Middle School in La Verne.
