Softball:
Rio Hondo Prep stayed unbeaten in Prep League play after Tuesday’s 5-0 victory at Mayfield.
Tatiana Foor continued her excellence, shutting out the Cubs on two hits.
Foor walked one and struck out eight Mayfield batters.
The Kares senior improved her personal record to 8-2, and she boasts an ERA of just north of the 2.00 mark.
Caitlin Dopudja and Jaz Johnson had one single apiece to account for the Cubs offense.
Jenna Dominguez was stuck with the loss.
Dominguez went all seven innings and allowed five runs (one earned) on four hits.
She walked four and struck out six RHP batters.
Madison Metz and Reagan Johnson combined for all five of Rio Hondo Prep’s hits.
Metz singled, doubled twice and scored.
Reagan Johnson went 2-for-4 with an RBI and run scored.
Up next: RHP heads to Chadwick on Thursday.
