Baseball:
After starting the season 10-0, Arcadia lost four consecutive games.
And apparently Ian Hoffstetter had enough of that.
On Tuesday, Hoffstetter threw a five-inning no-hitter, as the Apaches crushed visiting Glendale, 12-0, in a Pacific League contest.
Hoffstetter walked two, fanned four and needed 52 pitches to get the job done.
Diego Avila got the loss after allowing eight runs (five earned) on eight hits in 1 2/3 innings.
Arcadia got four more off Jason Martinez on six hits in 2 1/3 innings.
Alex Dolan singled twice, had an RBI and scored three runs.
Lance Wong singled, scored and drove in a pair of runs.
Devon Eskridge singled, scored and had an RBI.
Ari Nurhadi walked, singled twice, had three RBIs and two runs.
Daniel Chavez singled, doubled, drove in two runs and scored.
Julian Gutierrez singled and had an RBI.
Hunter Victorio singled, scored and drove in a run.
Jack Esguerra singled three times and scored twice.
Up next: The Apaches will travel to Glendale on Friday for the second of two Pacific League games w/the Nitros.
