College Baseball:
Mt. SAC picked up the three-game, SCC sweep of Rio Hondo College on Saturday.
The Mounties hammered out a 13-2 victory and outscored the Roadrunners, 31-11, this week.
Alec Beck went 5 1/3 innings, allowing one run on one hit to earn the win.
Beck walked four and fanned four Rio Hondo batters.
Rafael Flores doubled and scored.
Diego Flores walked and scored, and Daniel Ortega had an RBI single in the loss.
Matt Diaz was stuck with the loss, allowing six runs (four earned) on two hits over his 1 1/3 innings.
Diaz walked five and struck out two Mounties batters.
Brent Cota went 4-for-6, with an RBI and two runs.
Will Bermudez walked, had an RBI single, solo home run and a sac fly to drive in three runs.
Bermudez also scored two runs in Saturday’s win.
Cristian Enriquez walked twice, singled, hit a 2-run blast and scored twice.
Nin Burns singled twice, doubled, scored twice and had one RBI.
CJ Ontiveros walked four times, scored and had two RBIs.
Up next: The Mounties will travel to Cerritos on Tuesday afternoon.
