Softball:

Pasadena picked up victory No. 1 of the season on Thursday.

The Bulldogs hammered Hoover pitching in a 12-2, six-inning, mercy-rule victory.

Darla Burnett went 4-for-4, including a double and scored four runs.

Maddie Fraer hit two-and-three-run HR’s.

Alyssa Perez had a homer of her own, and two RBIs.

Hannah McWade singled, doubled, scored twice and drove in a pair of runs.

Jazmin Jaquez had an RBI double and scored three runs.

Jaquez also went all six innings to earn the win.

Jaquez allowed two unearned runs on three hits.

She walked one and struck out 10.

Up next: PHS travels to Muir on Thursday afternoon.
