Adrian Lopez’s RBI Double in 7th Ties Game, & His Walk-Off Single Leads Bonita to a 3-2 Victory Over Glendora in 10 Innings

Adrian Lopez came up clutch in Thursday’s Palomares League, first-place showdown with Glendora.

Trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Lopez doubled to catch GHS at 2-2.

Three innings later, it was Lopez’s 10th-inning single that scored Seth Wrightstone in a 3-2 victory over the visiting Tartans.

Bonita is now in sole possession of first place in the Palomares League standings.

Lopez finished 3-for-5, with the two RBIs.

Braydon Wooldridge went the first six innings for GHS and allowed two runs on six hits.

He walked three and fanned three Bonita batters.

Matthew Moreno got the loss after going three-plus innings and allowing one run on two hits and four walks.

Lopez actually got his walk-off single against Michael Moses, but Seth Wrightstone, who scored the game winner, belonged to Moreno.

JT Fenton and Daniel Munoz both went 2-for-4, and Munoz drove in a run.

Tyler Holley and Wrightstone both had one single and run scored each.

Diego Vazquez walked twice and scored for the Bearcats.

Wrightstone went 6 2/3 innings, allowing a pair of unearned runs on five hits.

He walked one and struck out seven GHS batters.

Justin Santiago picked up the win, thanks to 3 1/3 innings of scoreless relief.

He allowed one hit, walked three and struck out four.

Wooldridge doubled and had an RBI single.

Moreno doubled and scored for GHS.

Joseph Gilkeson walked twice and doubled.

Troy Estrada had an RBI ground out in the second inning.

Up next: Bonita will travel to Colony on Tuesday and Glendora will host Ayala.
