College Baseball:
Mt. SAC dominated Barstow in every way it could on Tuesday.
The Mounties cruised to a 14-1 victory.
Mt. SAC out-hit Barstow, 18-3, including a 6-0 advantage in extra-base hits.
Alec Beck went four scoreless innings to get the win.
Beck allowed three hits, didn’t walk a batter and struck out four.
Kegan Wentz, Anthony Corrales, Steven Vazquez and Josiah Garcia combined to go five hitless innings in relief.
Jackson Collett’s sac fly in the seventh inning scored Brock McCormick for Barstow’s lone run on Tuesday.
Jose Castanon got the loss after allowing four first-inning runs on five hits.
Will Bermudez singled, doubled and tripled, scored three runs and had an RBI.
Brent Cota singled, doubled and had a game-high four RBIs.
Elijah Pelayo singled twice, scored and drove in a run, and Robbie Mansour singled and scored.
Michael Flores walked three times, and had an RBI single.
Damien Delgadillo singled, doubled, scored and drove in a run.
Hector Almaraz tripled and scored.
Jacob Moreno went 2-for-3, with two runs and an RBI.
Logan Corthell had two singles, scored four runs and drove in two.
Up next: The Mounties host Cerro Coso on Thursday at 5.
