Northview Pounds Out 8-4 Victory Over Kaiser; Granados Goes 5 Innings, Allowing 2 Earned Runs & Strikes Out 5

Northview picked up win No. 5 of the 2022 season on Friday.

The Vikings out-hit Kaiser 11-6, and defeated the Cats, 8-4, in a nonleague contest.

Andrew Granados got the win, after going five innings and allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits.

He didn’t walk anyone and struck out five.

Brandon Alvarez doubled, scored and drove in a run for Kaiser.

Andrew Griffin doubled and scored in the loss.

Diego Castillo was saddled with the loss.

Castillo surrendered six runs on nine hits over his four innings on Friday.

He did not issue a walk and fanned four NHS batters.

Dean Curley singled, doubled and scored two runs out of the leadoff spot.

Ivan Barragan went 2-for-4, with an RBI and two runs.

Diego Frey singled, scored and had two RBIs.

Sal Batres singled, doubled, scored and drove in a run.

Isaiah Cruz contributed an RBI base hit.

Moses Medrano singled twice and scored.

Up next: The Vikings will host Chino Hills on Tuesday afternoon.
