Northview jumped on Colony early in Friday’s game, and the Vikings claimed a 6-2 victory.
NHS got three first-inning runs and out-hit Colony, 12-4.
Annabelle Duenas got the loss, after allowing six runs on 12 hits.
She walked three and struck out nine NHS batters.
Amber Rodriguez singled, tripled and scored.
Breyawna Tucker singled, doubled, scored two runs and had an RBI.
Joy Sanchez went 3-for-4, with a pair of doubles, two RBIs and she scored one run for Northview.
Sarah Diaz singled twice and drove in a run.
Brittney Rivas went the distance to pick up the win.
Rivas allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits.
She didn’t walk anyone and struck out seven Colony batters.
Desteny Garcia had a two-run double in the fifth inning to account for the Titans offense.
Up next: Northview will battle Ontario Christian (2-4) this morning at 10 in the Ontario Christian Tournament.
