College Baseball:
After dropping the first of three with LA Harbor on Tuesday, PCC headed to Wilmington in the hopes of tying their SCC series on Thursday.
The Seahawks, however, took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning, as Troy Harding hit a two-run shot off Ryan Graves.
Graves went the first 4 1/3 innings, and allowed two runs on five hits.
He didn’t walk anyone and struck out one.
Once again, Benny Olguin came up huge.
Olguin provided 4 2/3 scoreless innings of relief.
He scattered five hits, walked one and struck out six LA Harbor batters.
PCC got four runs in the top of the fifth, and picked up a 4-2 road victory.
Deon Dizon was saddled with the loss after going six innings and allowing four runs on seven hits.
He walked one and struck out three Lancers’ batters.
A pair of Maranatha Minutemen used some muscle in the win.
Max Blessinger tied the game at 2-2, with his two-run shot in the top of the fifth inning.
Two batters later, Marco Martinez gave the Lancers some cushion, with his two-run HR.
Raider Tello walked, singled twice and scored on the Martinez blast.
Jack Trabbie singled and scored on Blessinger’s HR.
Matt Rice and Kenny Kim walked and had one single apiece.
Up next: PCC will host LA Harbor on Saturday for the final of the three-game series.
The first pitch is set for noon.
