Girls Basketball:
Make it 21.
The La Salle girls basketball program took out their 21st consecutive opponent on Thursday night.
The Lancers defeated Rancho Bernardo, 47-35, in the second round of the CIF State Division 3 playoffs.
Sophomore Audrey Chen led La Salle with 17 points.
And freshman Kaden Cortes contributed 12 points in Thursday’s win.
Rancho Bernardo got a game-high 19 points from Maria Gobushin, which included three 3-pointers.
Up next: La Salle will host Scripps Ranch in Saturday’s regional semifinal.
The Falcons (24-6) defeated Sierra Pacific, 56-52, on Thursday.
