The Chargers’ Anthony Vasquez threw a six-hit shutout & COHS defeated California, 3-0, on Thursday.
Vasquez walked one, struck out seven and closed out the Condors on 91 pitches.
Gehrig Gardner had two of Cal High’s six hits.
Adrian Hernandez was stuck with the loss.
Hernandez surrendered three runs (one earned) on three hits.
He walked six and struck out six in his 5 2/3 innings of work.
Samuel Morales had two of COHS’ three hits on Thursday.
Morales scored and drove in a run.
Dave Montoyo walked and singled.
