Baseball:

That doesn’t happen often.

Two San Dimas pitchers (Kody King & Alex Ramos) combined on a no-hitter, and yet Arcadia left Maverick Field with a 2-0 victory.

Alex Ramos went five hitless innings, and allowed two runs.

Ramos fanned two, but had seven costly walks.

King didn’t allow a hit, run or walk in his one inning of work.

Jack Esguerra and Ari Nurhadi each had a sac fly to account for the two Apaches’ runs.

Esguerra’s second-inning sac fly gave Arcadia a 1-0 lead.

And Nurhadi gave Apaches’ starter, Ian Hoffstetter, an insurance run in the sixth.

Hunter Victorio and Lance Wong walked and scored for AHS.

Ian Hoffstetter through a two-hit shutout to earn the win.

He walked two and struck out four SDHS batters.

It took 97 pitches for the Arcadia junior to shut the door on SDHS.

Kasen Khansarinia and Ryder Young had one hit apiece to account for the Saints offense.

The Apaches face off with Diamond Bar, and the Saints battle Crescenta Valley.
