Baseball:
After a three-run top of the second inning lead, Alhambra caught Marshall Fundamental in the bottom of the sixth.
The Eagles, however, got one run in the top of the eighth, and held on for a 4-3 victory.
Gabe Mabee went four innings on the mound for Marshall.
Mabee allowed just a run on five hits, and struck out one.
Conrad Hunziker surrendered one run on one hit over his one inning of relief.
He got two of his three outs via strikeout.
Wes Pendleton provided two innings, allowing an unearned run on one hit, and struck out four Moors’ batters.
Travis Delgado got the win after pitching a scoreless bottom of the eighth.
He allowed one hit and struck out one.
Alhambra’s Justin Flores singled, doubled twice, scored and had an RBI.
Jason Hernandez singled, drove in a run and scored.
Carlos Hernandez went 2-for-3, with an RBI for the Moors.
Josh Soto got the loss, after allowing one run on one hit and two walks.
Soto went three innings, walking two and striking out three.
Sam Karp walked, had three hits, including a double and three RBIs.
Pendleton singled and scored.
Josh Hernandez drove in the game-winning run in the top of the eighth.
Ryan Pandulo walked twice and scored.
Up next: Marshall travels to Monrovia on Thursday afternoon.
