Evan Buhac Throws Six-Hit Shutout, as West Covina Defeats Baldwin Park, 5-0, on Tuesday

After starting the season 0-2, West Covina has now won two consecutive games.

The Bulldogs rode Evan Buhac’s arm to a 5-0 victory over Baldwin Park.

Buhac threw a six-hit shutout, walked one and struck out six BP batters.

And he got the job done on 98 pitches.

Jordan Davis and Jason Martinez had two hits apiece, and accounted for four of the Braves’ six hits.

Adam De Bari got the loss after allowing three runs on three hits over his four innings of work.

De Bari walked six and struck out seven WCHS’ batters.

Steven De Luna had an RBI single in the win.

Victor Mendoza led the West Covina offense with two hits and a pair of stolen bases.

Tony Macon singled, scored and had one RBI.

The Bulldogs had their running shoes on, stealing six bases.

Up next: WCHS will host Montclair on Friday.
