Azusa opened the 2022 season with its third consecutive victory.
The Aztecs defeated Rowland, 10-2, as they out-hit the Raiders, 17-8, on Thursday.
Juliana Canizales went the distance for the win.
She allowed two runs (one earned) on eight hits.
Canizales walked one and struck out one Rowland batter.
Laila Nunez had an RBI double and Alyssa Jauregui singled in a run for the Raiders.
Aerin Anselmini singled and doubled, and Alexis Keifer had a pair of singles in the loss.
Yessenia Francisco allowed three runs on seven hits over her three innings of work, but she got stuck with the loss.
Francisco didn’t walk anyone and struck out two.
Azusa got to Jasmine Lemus for seven runs (six earned) on 10 hits in three innings.
Natalie Sosa went 4-for-4, with two doubles, four RBIs and scored twice.
Canizales helped her own cause with two hits and two runs scored.
Kailee Miller singled three times and scored three runs.
Jackie Castaneda collected three hits, a run scored and two RBIs.
Raelene Rodriguez singled and scored and Angelian Correos had an RBI single.
Alona Sanchez singled twice and scored, and Mia Pedroza notched an RBI base hit.
