Marshall Fundamental is the only program in the Mission Valley League that controls its own fate.
The Eagles defeated El Monte, 2-1, on Monday.
If Marshall wins its final three games, they will have earned the MVL championship.
Trailing 1-0 in the second half, Victor Camacho scored two second-half goals.
Rayshon Robert had five saves in goal for Marshall.
Up next: The Eagles travel to Rosemead on Wednesday.
