Girls Volleyball:
After a first-round bye in the CIF-SS Division 2 playoffs, La Salle got taken to the limit by visiting Cypress.
The Lancers, however, prevailed and defeated the Centurions in five games.
La Salle won by scores of 22-25, 25-19, 24-26, 25-14 and 15-12.
Dani Thomas-Nathan had a monster night with 30 kills.
Ashley Li contributed 16 kills, three digs and three aces in the win.
Mikayla Hsieh finished with 43 assists and four kills.
Avery Ward had six kills for the Lancers.
Up next: The Lancers will host Beckman on Wednesday night.
The Patriots (27-13) swept Temecula Valley in their second-round match.
