Arcadia Picks Up Second Consecutive 5-Set Playoff Victory; Apaches Down Walnut Behind 11 Kills From Chayse Hoon

Girls Volleyball:

For the second consecutive match in the CIF-SS Division 4 playoffs, Arcadia was facing an opponent with a far better regular-season record .

And for the second consecutive time, Arcadia was able to grind out a five-set victory.

On Saturday night, the Apaches defeated Walnut by scores of 25-19, 16-25, 11-25, 25,23 and 15-11.

Chayse Hoon led the Apaches with 11 kills and four blocks.

Ruby Ackerman and Ashley Savage had nine kills apiece in the win.

Ashley Savage had a team-high five aces.

And Ashley Marrone contributed seven kills and two blocks.

Up next: Arcadia will host Oaks Christian on Wednesday at 6.

The Lions (22-6) defeated Troy in their second-round contest.
