Girls Volleyball:
Upland cruised to a first-round sweep of visiting Culver City on Thursday night.
The Highlanders claimed victory by scores of 25-17, 25-17 and 25-17 in the CIF-SS Division 3 playoffs.
Brooke McKee had 17 kills and eight digs.
Riley Contreras added eight kills and 10 digs.
Madison Robertson contribute 35 assists and 10 digs.
Sam Parks finished with five kills and four digs.
Up next: The Highlanders will travel to Huntington Beach and take on Edison in a second-round showdown.
The Chargers (18-16) swept Windward in the first round.
