Girls Volleyball:
Not a bad first-round showing for the Arcadia girls volleyball program.
The Apaches traveled to No. 5 seeded Whitter Christian and knocked the Heralds out of the playoffs.
Arcadia won by scores of 26-24, 25-22, 18-25, 22-25 and 15-11 in the CIF-SS Division 4 playoffs.
Chayse Hoon and Ashley Savage had 10 kills and five blocks each.
Ruby Ackerman and Sarah Wang provided six kills apiece.
Elizabeth Savage finished with six kills of her own.
Up next: Arcadia will host Walnut on Saturday at 6.
The Mustangs (31-6) defeated Cerritos in four games.
