Upland Wins Baseline League Championship Thanks to 4-Set Victory at Etiwanda & Last-Place St. Lucy’s Sweep of RCHS

Girls Volleyball:

Upland and Rancho Cucamonga headed into the final match of the regular season tied atop the Baseline League standings.

The Highlanders did their part in clinching at least a share of the league championship.

They defeated Etiwanda by scores of 23-25, 25-20, 27-25 and 25-17.

And UHS got some unexpected help from winless St. Lucy’s.

The Regents shocked the league with a three-game sweep of RCHS, which allowed Upland to claim the outright Baseline League title.

Riley Contreras had 16 kills and eight digs.

Brooke McKee contributed eight kills, five aces and five blocks.

And Madison Robertson provided 26 assists and 12 digs for the Baseline League champions.
