Girls Volleyball:

Arcadia’s 2021 season has been a roller coaster ride for the coaches and players.

They’ve enjoyed the highs and rode out the low moments.

After a pair of Pacific League losses to Burroughs and Crescenta Valley, the Apaches got back to their winning ways on Tuesday.

Arcadia swept Burbank for the third time this year and locked up second place in the Pacific League.

AHS won by scores of 25-22, 25-12 and 25-20.

Olivia Ip led the way with 11 kills and two blocks.

Chayse Hoon added seven kills and three blocks.

And Sarah Wang chipped in with six kills and two blocks.

Up next: The Apaches will host first-place Burroughs to close out the 2021 regular season.

Quotable:

Arcadia coach, Stephen Bernabe: “We were able to send the seniors off with a three-set win and it helps us clutch 2nd place in the league. Now we go back to practice and grind away.”

Records: Burbank (10-17, 4-7); Arcadia (11-14, 9-3)
