Claremont Shuts Out Colony, 18-0, in Thursday’s Palomares League Match; Wolfpack Improves to 6-0

Girls Tennis:

Claremont continued its dominance in Palomares League matches on Thursday.

The Wolfpack defeated visiting Colony, 18-0, to improve to 6-0 in league.

In those six victories, CHS has defeated its league counterparts by a combined margin of 92-16.

Irma Garcia, who is filling in at No. 1 singles for an injured Sydney La, won all three of her matches, and did so by scores of 6-0, 6-0 and 6-1.

Kareen Holstrom (No. 2 singles) claimed victories of 6-1 and 6-1 in her two matches.

Angelina Azkhouri also went 2-0 in the number three singles slot.

The Claremont doubles teams (Cami Fernandez-Liz Gonzalez, Martina De Nigris-Paige Ruffner and Delila Vargas-Kaili Hernandez) won all nine of their matches by a combined score of 54-1.
