Football:

For the sixth consecutive time, the Glendora football program has relied heavily on the run game, watched their defense hold an opposition to two scores or less, and had Jake Denerson steward a steady and methodical offense.

And for the sixth time in the 2021 fall season, the Tartans were victorious.

Glendora left Diamond Ranch with a 35-0 victory, and most of the fourth quarter was played with a running clock.

Braydon Brus scored on TD runs of 3, 57 and 49 yards.

Brus carried the ball 11 times for 127 yards.

Trey Byrd also played huge in the win.

Byrd caught a 19-yard TD pass from Denerson, and capped the GHS scoring with a 55-yard punt return for a score.

Denerson completed 5 of his 13 pass attempts for 131 yards and the score.

Christian Sampson caught two passes for 107 yards and picked off a pass on defense.

AJ Salazar picked off a pass and Roen Spain recovered a fumble in the win.

Up next: Glendora will host former Palomares League foe, Ayala, on Friday night at Citrus College.

The Bulldogs (6-0) defeated La Habra, 31-21, on Thursday night.
