Girls Volleyball:

After a pair of Pacific League victories last week, Arcadia was swept at South Pasadena on Tuesday.

The Tigers improved to 12-2 after defeating the Apaches by scores of 25-11, 25-17 and 25-12.

Olvia Ip had seven kills and four blocks in the loss.

Chayse Hoon finished with three aces and four blocks.

Up next: Arcadia will travel to Pasadena today (Wednesday) in a Pacific League showdown.

Quotable:

Arcadia coach, Stephen Bernabe: “I schedule very tough teams for our nonleague games, because good teams show you what you need to work on for the next practice. My team has an opportunity to win a league title and have a deep postseason if we can fix our weaknesses. I am excited to get back into our gym and work on the things we need to, because we have players who are hungry for more playing time and players who want a varsity jersey.”

Records: Arcadia (2-3); South Pasadena (12-2)
