Softball:

Azusa finished its regular season with a perfect run in Montview League play.

But for once, there was actually a little drama.

Leading 1-0 in the bottom of the seventh, Gisselle Roacho hit a solo home run to send the game to extra innings.

Nothing to worry about here, as the Aztecs scored three times in the top of the eighth inning and defeated Workman, 4-1.

Iliana Cardenas got the win after going all eight innings.

Cardenas scattered four hits, walked one and struck out 10.

Ashley Alvarez was stuck with the loss.

Alvarez surrendered four runs (three earned) on 10 hits over her eight innings of work.

She didn’t walk anyone and struck out eight AHS batters.

Gwendalyn Rivas went 2-for-4 and scored.

Angelian Correos singled, scored and drove in two runs.

Cardenas singled twice and scored.

Raelene Rodriguez had an RBI triple.

And Breanna Rodriguez went 3-for-3, and scored once.
