Girls Tennis:
Claremont met its match in Friday’s second round of the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs.
The Wolfpack traveled to Riverside and fell to ML King, 13-5.
Claremont singles went 4-2, but their doubles teams won just one of their nine matches.
King’s Lexi Flores defeated Goldie La, Sydney La and Kareen Holstrom by scores of 6-1, 6-0 and 6-0, respectively.
Goldie and Sydney La would win their other two singles matches.
Claremont’s No. 1 doubles team of Caren Uribe and Jahday Drewery went 1-3, and the Wolfpack No. 2 and No. 3 doubles teams combined to go 0-for-6.
