Charter Oak got one last test before opening Valle Vista League play tomorrow.
And it was against the No. 2 ranked program in the latest CIF-SS Division 3 poll.
Warren out-hit Charter Oak, 10-7, and the Bears went on to defeat the Chargers, 10-8.
Jonathan Kozasky got the win after going 4 2/3 innings and allowing five runs (three earned) on five hits.
He walked one and struck out six Charter Oak batters.
Zack Bauer had a two-run triple and scored once.
Chris Ceballos singled, doubled, scored and had an RBI.
Alejandro Blanquet walked, singled twice, scored and drove in a run.
Aaron Osorio walked and hit a solo home run.
Gabriel Rico went 2-for-4, with a double, two runs scored and an RBI.
Diego Ortiz was stuck with the loss.
Ortiz surrendered six runs (five earned) on seven hits over his three-innings of work.
He walked two and struck out a pair.
Aidan Gonzalez celebrated his 17th birthday in style.
Gonzalez singled, doubled, scored and drove in three runs.
Rocco Caballero singled, doubled, scored and had an RBI.
Hauze Fragoso went 2-for-4, with a run scored and RBI.
Julian Angulo walked, singled, drove in a run and scored three times, and Robert Linares singled and scored.
Matthew Miller walked twice, singed and scored a pair of runs.
Jalen Martin walked and had an RBI single in the win.
Up next: Charter Oak will host Covina tomorrow in a Valle Vista League contest.
