Khalil Ali Throws For 4 TD’s in Season Opener; South Hills Claims 28-12 Victory Over Eisenhower

Khalil Ali began his senior year with a bang.

The South Hills quarterback accounted for all four Huskies’ TD’s in the 28-12, season-opening victory over Eisenhower.

All four were through the air.

Ali hit Jordan Sanchez for three TD’s and Thonye Charles for the fourth and final score, which came in the third quarter.

In all, Ali threw for nearly 300 yards, and his longest TD of the night went for 60 yards to open the scoring for South Hills.

Sanchez caught six passes for north of 200 yards and Charles had three receptions for 30 yards.

Juaquin Elliott paced the Huskies’ ground game with 75 yards on 15 carries.

Anthony Felton had a huge game on defense with two interceptions, and the Huskies’ D shut the Eagles out in the second half.

Up next: South Hills will travel to Chino next Friday night to take on Don Lugo.
The Conquistadores enter the game 0-1, after a 14-6, season-opening loss to Alta Loma.
