Baseball:
Muir accomplished four things on Thursday.
The Mustangs secured a 10-2 victory at Pasadena.
They swept their rivals at PHS.
MHS secured the No. 4 seed out of the Pacific League.
And they extended their current win streak to 11 games.
Muir out-hit Pasadena, 14-5.
Noah Hunziker went two innings, and he was charged with two runs on four hits.
Hunziker didn’t walk a batter and struck out one.
Ezekiel Rodriguez provided five scoreless innings and allowed just a single hit.
Rodriguez issued two walks and registered 11 strikeouts.
Jayden Mendoza doubled in a run.
Aaron Martinez had an RBI single.
Harrison Gwaltney singled and scored.
Dylan Derosier walked and singled.
Reese Kim singled.
Dylan Derosier got the loss after allowing seven runs (four earned) on 10 hits over 5 2/3 innings.
Derosier walked two and struck out six Muir batters.
Reese Kim was charged with three unearned runs on two hits and a hit batter in 1 1/3 innings.
Kim registered one strikeout.
Luca Cano had a two-run single, a three-run double and scored.
Kahlil Rishwain went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.
Rishwain was also hit by pitch.
Brandon Figueroa walked, singled twice and scored.
Bryant Soriano singled three times and scored a pair of runs.
George Perez went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI.
Ezekiel Rodriguez had an RBI single.
Eduardo Sosa singled and Lawton Gray scored.
