Boys Hoops:

The undefeated and defending Palomares League champs are going to have to finish strong to make the playoffs.

One year after going 10-0 in league, and with three games remaining in the regular season, Glendora finds itself at 3-4 and tied for fourth place.

Diamond Bar went on a 30-16 run in the final period to secure a 71-58 victory at GHS.

The Brahmas started the night in fifth place (out of six teams), but they are now even with the Tartans at 3-4.

Both programs won on the other’s home court to split the season series.

GHS is having a difficult time guarding the 3-pointer.

Two nights after Ayala’s 14-4 dominance in 3’s, Diamond Bar scored 30 points behind the 3-point arc as compared to just one 3-pointer (Tyson Rush) for the Tartans.

DBHS hit six of those 3-pointers in the decisive fourth quarter.

All four of the Brahmas scorers had at least 10 points on Friday.

Jedi Chow led all scorers with 21 points.

Chow scored seven points in the fourth, including a 5-of-6 effort from the free-throw line.

Ayden Ellis finished with 20 points, including eight in the fourth period.

Jacob Kim hit five 3-pointers, with four coming in the final period to finish with 19 points.

Nine of Demi Sobiye’s 11 points came from beyond the 3-point arc.

Jeremiah Garzon led GHS with 19 points and eight rebounds.

Max Hilgenfeldt chipped in with 16 points and three rebounds.

Tanner Grable added eight points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out four assists in the loss.
