Girls Hoops:
Claremont improved to 2-0 in Palomares League games after Wednesday’s 53-47 victory over their hosts from Bonita.
The Wolfpack took a 30-23 lead into the break, and they were able to hold off the Bearcats in the second half.
Khrysma Johnson led CHS with 21 points, including a 10-of-10 effort from the free-throw line.
Iyla Raguette hit a pair of 3-pointers, and she chipped in with 14 points.
Tressa Beatty scored a game-high 26 points for the Bearcats.
Beatty had both of Bonita’s 3-pointers, and she went 4-of-8 from the free-throw line.
Kyra Amaya contributed 12 points.
Malei’a Reaves finished with seven points in the loss.
