Boys Water Polo:
Damien earned a spot in the second round of the CIF-SS Division 2 playoffs.
That was secured thanks to a 10-5 victory over Alta Loma in Tuesday’s first-round game in La Verne.
Ben Shehee had three goals and a steal.
Sebastian Maccalla chipped in with three goals of his own.
Jonah Aguilera added a pair of goals, steals and assists.
Mikey Ries finished with two goals and two steals.
Kei Romo blocked 15 shots to go with two assists and two steals.
Up next: The Spartans travel today to Camarillo with a spot in the D-2 quarterfinals at stake.
