Two of the San Gabriel Valley’s premier programs met up Tuesday at the Boras Classic.

And appropriately, it took extra innings to determine a winner.

Along with adding a significant victory to their resume, the Minutemen also snapped the Saints 12-game win streak.

SDHS had gone 40 days without a loss.

King didn’t issue a walk and fanned six MHS batters.

Kasen Khansarinia got the loss after allowing one run on three hits and one walk over three innings.

Gabe Barragan’s solo home run in the top of the eighth was the difference.

Zach Strickland walked, singled, doubled and scored two runs.

Jacob Yun singled twice and scored.

Josh Proctor had an RBI single in the fifth.
