College Baseball:
Chaffey College got a solid outing from its pitching staff in Thursday’s 13-3 Inland Empire Athletic Conference victory at Cerro Coso.
Joseph O’Regan went five innings and allowed two runs on seven hits to earn the win.
O’Regan issued three walks and fanned three Cerro Coso batters.
Jonluke Hobdy went 3-for-3, with a run and one RBI.
Gavin Fraser walked, singled and scored.
Seth Moore went 3-for-4, with one RBI.
Justin Austin walked, singled and drove in a run on a sac fly.
Kanon Welbourne was saddled with the loss.
Welbourne went 3 1/3 innings, and he was charged with seven runs (six earned) on seven hits.
Welbourne walked two and fanned four Chaffey batters.
Andrew Rodriguez scored twice, had an RBI double and a three-run HR.
Ryder Young went 3-for-5, with a double, run and two RBIs.
PJ Torrez walked, singled, tripled, scored three runs and had two RBIs.
David Loera singled twice, doubled, scored and drove in a pair of runs.
Aaron Whobrey went 2-for-4 and scored.
Yahir Ramirez singled and scored.
Ryan Melton walked and scored two runs.
Preston Allen walked, singled, scored and had one RBI.
