Baseball:
The Ayala baseball victory tour stopped off on Indian Hill Boulevard, as the Bulldogs pounded the Wolfpack, 16-0, on Wednesday.
It’s their 10th consecutive victory and the Bulldogs are now 8-0 in Palomares League games.
Thomas Cerecedes picked up his sixth win of the season, going six scoreless innings.
He allowed two hits, walked a pair and struck out three.
Jeremy Byers got the final three outs, two of which came via strikeout.
Louie Allen and Adrian Sanchez both singled to account for the Wolfpack offense.
Aidan Ross was saddled with the loss after allowing seven runs on five hits over his four innings of work.
He walked four and struck out two.
Damien Delgadillo singled and hit a grand slam for Ayala.
Mateo Matthews walked, singled twice, scored three runs and homered for the third consecutive game.
Matthews also drove in three runs.
Troy McCain walked, singled, homered, scored three times and drove in five runs.
Ryan Moreno walked, homered, scored two runs and drove in three.
Luke Solis singled, had an RBI and scored twice.
Cole Koniarsky walked, doubled and scored two runs.
Ty Borgogno doubled and scored a pair of runs.
Up next: Ayala will host Claremont on Friday, as Andreas Pasillas goes for win No. 7.
